Vacancy: Management Assistant (Grade III) – Contract Basis

The Sri Lanka Medical Council invites applications from Sri Lankan citizens for the post of Management Assistant (Grade III) on a contract basis.

Applicants must be not less than 18 years and not more than 30 years of age as at 21 August 2026.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess:

1. G.C.E. Ordinary Level examination with passes in all subjects at one sitting, including credit passes in Sinhala/Tamil Language, English Language, and Mathematics. A very good pass in Commerce will be an added advantage.
2. G.C.E. Advanced Level examination with passes in all subjects at one sitting. Qualifications in the Commerce stream will be an added advantage.
3. A minimum of two years’ work experience in Management Assistant – Administration/HR in a similar role and organisation.

Preference Will Be Given To Applicants With

• A recognised computer applications qualification of at least six months’ duration, together with two years’ experience using computer application packages.
• Proficiency in English and Sinhala/Tamil.
• A degree in a relevant field, particularly HR or Administration.

Job Description

The selected candidate will provide support to Heads of Units and coordinate matters connected with the relevant unit. Duties include executing and managing key processes and day-to-day work assigned by the Registrar or Head of the Unit.

Salary and Contract Period

• Salary Scale: MA 1-1-2025 – Rs. 46,220–83,390, plus Government-approved allowances
• Contract Period: Six months
